I feel it coming,
Like falling,
It's welling,
This feeling
That is so overwhelming

A darkness,
Its coldness,
Its icyness,
Its evilness
That is so overwhelming.

A heat
That is too hard to beat.
Just to be able to meet
It is so great a feat,
That it is so overwhelming.

A fire,
Much like desire,
But it is a sire
To something much more dire,
That is so overwhelming.

I must try my hardest to keep
Control of this feeling so deep,
But it seems to seep
From my grasp while I sleep
This feeling that is so overwhelming.

I am a gear,
Helpless as a deer,
As a sheep to the sheer,
That turns a wheel of fear
That is from this feeling that is so overwhelming.

It is like a gust from the sea,
That tosses a bee.
I am unable to see
Why it happens to me,
This feeling that is so overwhelming.

It needs to be fought,
It cannot be bought,
It is not wisely sought,
And should not be taught,
This feeling that is so overwhelming.

It hurts so much,
I do not want to feel as such.
It burns to touch,
And freezes to clutch,
This feeling that is so overwhelming.

I feel that I will fail
As I begin to ail.
It beats me like hail,
And cuts me like shale,
This feeling that is so overwhelming.

When it begins to flit,
I try to ignore it,
But then it begins to feel as if I've been bit
By a creature from the pit.
That is this feeling that is so overwhelming.

I want to be clean
And begin to sheen,
Free of this mean
That is so painful I want to scream,
From this feeling that is so overwhelming.

Cruelty and injustice fall unpon me like rain.
Why can't people see that I'm in pain?
I'm not entirely certain that I've remained sane,
For my dreams are filled with many that have been slain
By this emotion that is so overwhelming.

I am cast into shame,
By this thing that's not tame.
I may as well walk with the lame,
We are very much the same,
Because of this feeling that is so overwhelming.

Thinking it is a game,
They tossed me into a flame,
Thinking it would bring them fame
Then I get to shoulder the blame
With this feeling that is so overwhelming.

I see the dove
Fall without any love,
Its life is ove,
As it falls in the grove
Of this feeling that is so overwhelming.

I feel the dark,
It's left its mark.
It is stark,
It preys on me like a shark
Like this feeling that is so overwhelming.

Why do they attack
When I'm about to crack.
Selfcontrol is not what I lack,
But they seem to want me to throw in the sack,
To give in to this feeling that is so overwhelming.

I've become as a ghoul.
I feel like a fool,
For being a tool,
For jumping into a pool
Of this feeling that's so overwhelming.

Some may say that I'm fine,
Because of this poem that has rhyme,
That I'm growing like a vine,
That all I need is time
To get over this feeling that is so overwhelming.

This is not true,
For those of you
That don't see me stew.
Oh, I don't know what I should I do
About this feeling that is so overwhelming.

Author's Comments

This is a poem I did in the beginning of the school year. I meant to post it before this, but I couldn't get it to transfer over to my computer, and I didn't feel like retyping it on here. Just now got it to transfer. Yay.
It is an emotion poem, repetitive, rhyme. DA doesn't have the right category for it though, so I had to post it as open.

It was a project for school. I used a feeling that I have allot of experience with. I tried making one about Fear, but I don't have allot of experience with that. I don't have a single fear that I know of.

May God walk with you for the rest of your life, for he will watch over and protect you. May he light your path and lead you along it, forever away from sin. God Bless you all. Amen

ah

no fear at all? everyone has to have at least one fear right? even if its just a fear of losing a friend...

but cool anyways

I have come to terms that fear is fake, everyone dies, and that death isn't that bad. So fear isn't something that I have.
